Obituary of Randal Allen Welch

Funeral services for Mr. Randal Allen Welch, age 51, and grandson, Devon Ellis Taylor, age 12, both of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at White Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery (Bastrop, LA) under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday, June 14, at Golden Funeral Home. Mr Welch, a dedicated member of White Avenue Baptist Church and a truck driver, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010. He was an ordained minister and served as a youth minister at many churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, and was a very giving person. Mr Welch is survived by his wife, Martha Welch; daughters, Lurah Welch of Shreveport, LA, Priscilla Taylor of Bastrop, LA; son, Samuel Welch of Bastrop, LA; brother, Jay Welch of Vidalia, LA; grandchild, Ciara Taylor of Bastrop, LA; Nieces and Nephews, Trey and Laura Welch of Petal, MS, Stephen Welch of Baton Rouge, LA, Tracy Westberry of Orange Park, FL, Charles and Audrey Fortner of Arlington, VA. Mr. Welch is preceded in death by his parents, John and Johnnie Welch. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or a church of your choice.
