Obituary of Phyllis P. Hargrove

A graveside service for Mrs. Phyllis P. Hargrove, age 69, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jeff May officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hargrove, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of White Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Hargrove served in the U.S. Marine Corps. During her enlistment she met and married her husband, also a U.S. Marine, while they were both stationed in California. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hargrove, Sr. and her parents, Lloyd and Mercile Pahal. Mrs. Hargrove is survived by her daughter, Virginia Hargrove of Swartz, LA; two sons, Paul Hargrove and wife Dee Ann of Bastrop, LA, Brian Hargrove of Swartz, LA; sister, Sarah Pendergrass and husband Cliff of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Jim Pahal and wife Regina of Benton, LA, Bill Pahal and wife Linda of Joplin, MO; three grandchildren, Trina Ray and husband Vince of Bastrop, LA, Trey Hargrove, III of Monroe, LA, Ernie Hargrove of Bastrop, LA; two great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Ray and Ciara Ray; a favorite aunt, Bess Aires of Pine Bluff, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
