Obituary of Annette George Nations

Funeral services for Mrs. Annette George Nations, age 81, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Nations, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Morehouse General Hopsital. She was a devoted bookeeper, secretary, and co-owner of Glen's Motor Parts. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Nations liked to read, enjoyed camping when she was able, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Glen A. Nations; daughter, Sarah Nations Ellingburg and husband Billy of Bastrop, LA; son, Doug Nations of Bastrop, LA; sister, Phyllis Hughes and husband Gene of Pine Bluff, AR; three grandchildren, Robyn Landry and husband Jerry, Christy Ellingburg, Jim Ellingburg and wife Jennifer; three great grandchildren, Brittany Landry, Garrett Landry, Elijah Landry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Nations is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Clem George and Ethel Ione Geoorge. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Ellingburg, Jerry Landry, Billy Ellingburg, Gene Hughes, Jerry Spikes, and Steve Teel. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Carter Cox. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital.
