Obituary of Crawford Eldridge "Butch" Spurlock

Funeral services for Mr. Crawford Eldridge "Butch" Spurlock, 76, of Bastrop, formerly of Andrews, TX, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Teddy Short officiating. Interment will be in Beech Creek Cemetery near Hamburg, AR. Mr. Spurlock, a retired oilfield worker and member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church in Andrews, Tx, passed away Friday, October 6, 2006 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Lee and husband Marty Lee of Bastrop, LA, Teri Dawkins of Dallas, TX, Phyllis Stewart and husband Jim D. Stewart of Stephenville, TX; son, Donald Allen Spurlock and wife Tracy Spurlock of Andrews, TX; five sisters, Pat Ruberling, Marie Gardner and Rose Rice all of Little Rock, AR, Katie Beard of New Orleans, LA, Julia Curtis of Madesto, CA; three grandsons, Harve Stewart, Shaun Shuff, Andrew Dawkins; nine granddaughters, Amy Bullock, Barbara Klein, Rachel Spurlock, Kim Shuff, Kristy Ainsworth, Jessie Ainsworth, Phylicia Stewart, Jessica McAdams, Stephanie Murphree and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. Spurlock is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Eldridge Spurlock and Sadie Ophelia Booth Spurlock; son, Crawford Dwayne Spurlock; sisters, Freddie Harris, Jorene Simmons; brothers, Tilman "Tedo" Spurlock and Pete Spurlock. Serving as pallbearers are: Harve Stewart, John Grissom, Jerry Clingen, Kerry Clingen, Shane Vickrey, Kent Harris and Daniel Harris. Honorary pallbearers are: Marty Lee, Frankie Harris, Gary Blake and Kelly Pickering. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home.
