Obituary of Barbara Ellerbe

Funeral services for Barbara Lee Ellerbe, age 80, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ellerbe, a homemaker and member of Maplewood Baptist Church, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Ellerbe, Jr., daughters, Darlene Smith of Crossett, AR, Lorry Knox of West Monroe, LA, Gwendolyn Garcia and husband Richard of Angleton, Tx, Cheryl Fulmer of Morgan City, LA; son, Robert Wess Fulmer, Jr. and wife Valerie of Prairieville, LA; sisters, Ann Espinosa and husband Rubin of Glendora, CA, Bertha Andrews and husband David of Bastrop, LA, Shirley Bell of Shreveport, LA; mother-in-law Linda Ellerbe of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Stacy Barnes, Brandi White, Kristian Spiller, Lacy Fulmer, Courtney Fulmer, Taria Watson, Billy Haynes, Trina Lawerence, Charyl Jennings, Freddie Jennings, Letitia Boudreaux, Chassidy Bailey, Allen Earl Slade, Jr., Theresa Slade; great grandchildren, Greg Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Kelsey White, Callie White, Caden Watson, Aaron Simoneaux, Felicia Simoneaux, Jeremy Lucas, Shelby Mayberry, Anna Mayberry, Rani Jennings, Dale Slade, Leland Slade, Caden Slade, Whitney Slade, Kali Slade, Marcus Reinhart, Brad Reinhart, Savannah Green, Kyle Green, Alexis Green, Levi Green, Cody Green and Kaci Jane Spiller. Mrs. Ellerbe is preceded in death by her father, James Thomas Hearod; mother, Beaulah Hearod; sister, Rosa Lee Hearod; brother, James "Sonny" Hearod; son-in-law Cal Smith; grandchildren, Stuart Fulmer, Tia Fulmer and great granddaughter, Courtney Gros. Pallbearers will be; Richard Garcia, Blake Watson, Ronald Ellerbe, Earnest Boudreaux, Steve Hebert, Billy Joe Haynes and Johnny "Chuck" Brewer. Bill Ridge will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 30, 2010 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
