Obituary of Jean Chappell Chesney

Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Chappell Chesney are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Mrs. Chesney, age 73, was a resident of Bastrop, LA. She passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She retired from Morehouse General Hospital after 37 years of service. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church and preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Eunice Chappell. Mrs. Chesney is survived by her daughter, Joyce Chesney Frith and her husband James of West Monroe, LA; her two sons, Dale Chesney and Paul Chesney, both of Bastrop, LA; her five grandchildren, Amber Fife, Shawn Kelly, Ryan Chesney, Tyler Chesney, Alexis Chesney; and her two great grandchildren, Dylan Kelly and Anna Kelly. Visitation times are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
