Obituary of Verna Rallinson

Funeral services for Verna Mae Smith Rallinson, 76, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. H. McQuin and Rev. Art Crymes officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Ms. Rallinson, a homemaker and member of Hillview Freewill Baptist Church, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 at Oak Woods Home For the Elderly. She is survived by two sons, Bob Rallinson and wife Shelia of Bastrop, LA, Sam Rallinson and wife Brenda of Bastrop, LA; sister, Ann Williams and husband Eugene of Bernice, LA; grandchildren, Kris Rallinson and wife Sandi, Kurt Rallinson, Justin Rallinson and wife April all of Bastrop, Jessie Waid, Jacob Waid, both of Kansas City, MO, Ashley Womack and husband Chad of Orlando, FL; great grandchildren, Dylan Rallinson and Makayla Rallinson. Ms. Rallinson is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Rallinson, Sr.; daughters, Phyllis Rallinson, Debby Waid; sisters, Audrey McCollumn, Jerri Buckner and her parents, Samuel and Annie Mae Smith. Serving as pallbearers are Bubba Porter, Andy Brewer, Brandon Hall, Trippe Chorette, Dustin James and Paul Domino. Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
