Obituary of Mattie Clingan

Funeral services for Mattie L. Miller Clingan, 66, of Collinston, LA, are scheduled for 4 PM Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelvin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Clingan, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was also a member of East Haven Church of God. Mrs. Mattie is preceded in death by a brother, James Wooten and a sister, Celesta Cliburn. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Clingan; two sons, Bennie Glass & wife Cheryl of Port Allen, LA, Ricky Glass & wife Terri of Baton Rouge, LA; two daughters, Julia Robertson & husband Mark of Denham Springs, LA, Dawn Bryant & husband Reid of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Rachael Gray of Bastrop, Joyce Kirkley of Carson, MS; brother, David Wooten of Collinston, LA; 10 grandchildren, Tricia, Brandon, Melissa, Josiah, Leah, and Anna Glass, Brian, Megan, and Jonathon Robertson, and MaKenzie Bryant; 3 great grandchildren, Justin Pate, Gage & Julian Robertson; and by a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 5 PM to 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
