Obituary of Katherine Fowler Dew

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Fowler Dew, age 86, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Rhymes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Dew, a homemaker and member of White Avenue Baptist Church, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting for family and friends. Mrs. Dew is survived by her husband, Bruin E. Dew; three sons, Wayne Dew and wife Cynthia of Petal, MS, Don Dew and wife Phyllis of Bastrop, LA, Randy Dew of Portsmouth, VA; six grandchildren, Mary Ann and Nathan Songer of Hattiesburg, MS, Wayne and Brandy Dew of Puyallup, WA, Jennifer and David Rader of Bastrop, LA, Kristie and Michael Hodges of Bastrop, LA, Tim and Meghan Dew of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashley Brooke Dew of WV and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Morgan Fowler, Mother, Lou Kathryn Adams Fowler and great grandson, Micah Brant Dew. Serving as pallbearers are: David Rader, Michael Hodges, Wayne Dew, Jr. Nathan Songer, Lee Dew, Tommy Dew, Steve Dew and Pat Dew. Honorary pallbearers are: Kayne Dew, Brody Stevens, Levi Songer and Tim Dew.
