Graveside funeral services for Mr. David Leroy Crabtree, 78, of Monroe, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bo Horne officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Crabtree, a retired truck driver and United States Army veteran during Korean Conflict, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010. He was a voracious reader and also a musician who loved to play and sing.
He is survived by a special friend, Maxine Johnston of Monroe, LA; daughter, Nancy Gaar of West Monroe, LA; two sons, Toney Crabtree and wife JoAnn of Russellville, AR, David L. Crabtree and wife Cindy of Oak Grove, TN; two brothers, Raymond Crabtree and wife Faye of West Monroe, LA, Bobby Crabtree and wife Tilda Mae of Mangham, LA; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mr. Crabtree is preceded in death by his wives Sherry Crabtree and Bonnie Crabtree; parents, Virgil and Lucille Crabtree; sisters, Helen Lacaze, Betty Jean Waldrop; and one son, James Crabtree.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
