Funeral services for Mrs. Erdell G. Gates, age 83, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday October 22, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Art Crymes & Rev. Newton Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Eros, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gates, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Friday October 20, 2006. She was a homemaker and a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Gates; parents, Robert F. & Alice Griggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Young of West Monroe; son, Chris Gates of Dry Prong; step-son, Bobby R. Gates of West Monroe; sister, Sybil Jensma of Bay, AR; five grandchildren, Derrick Gates, Dustin Gates, Deanna Pardue, David Arnold, Kristi Fife; and five great grandchildren.
