Obituary of Edna "Pete" Rainey

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna "Pete" Rainey, 72, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Rainey, a retired waitress, passed away August 7, 2010. She enjoyed reading and watching tennis. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved and spoiled her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude J. and Fannie Lee Church; sisters, Annie Marie Church and Martha Martin; brothers, Cloys Church and Ernest Church; Son-in-law, Bobby Sharbono. Mrs. Rainey is survived by four daughters, Edna Diane Berry and husband Phillip of Bastrop, LA, Shirley Sharbono of Bastrop, LA, Dawn Patrick and husband Carl of Bastrop, LA, Dara Anders and husband Bruce of Bastrop, LA; two sons, Robert Vaughn of Ponca City, OK and Ferlin Vaughn of Stillwater, OK; two sisters, Pearl Church of Metairie, LA and Patricia Church of Houston, TX, three brothers, Luther Church and wife Jeri of Acampo, CA, Carl Church and wife JoAnn of Collinston, LA, Bobby Dale Church and wife Mary of Bastrop, LA,; 17 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Patrick, Randy Armfield, Michael Armfield, Caleb Anders, Clifton Feazel, and Kevin Mckee.
