A graveside service for Mr. Acie Eugene "Gene" Henington is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at Zachary Cemetery, Jones, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Henington, age 73 and resident of West Monroe, LA, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He was very active in the American Legion, where he served as chaplain. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nat and Rubye Arrington Henington.
Mr. Henington is survived by his son, Robert Henington and wife Jean of Monroe, LA; three grandchildren, Chloe Henington, Jacob Henington, Elijah Henington; and two sisters, Mariece Bonnette and husband Jim of West Monroe, LA, and Mary Tanksley of Crossett, AR.
Honorary pallbearers are Louis Watts, Wayne Hendrixson, Jerry Kirkland, Stanley Hill, Carl Davis, Carl Cost, Charles Stegihes, and Hugh Bennette.
