Graveside services for Mr. Lionel Simington, 95, of Sterlington, LA, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Laue officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday prior to the service at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Simington, a retired 30 year Air Force Veteran, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010. He was born and raised in Attica, AR and was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Sterlington, LA.
Mr. Lionel Simington is survived by his wife, Dorothy Simington; daughter, Sheila Sheppard and husband Don; son, Ron Sasser and wife Sandra; four grandchildren, Charles Martin, Candida Martin, Jason Sasser and wife Debbie, Justin Sasser and wife Heather; four great grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Brady Sasser, Ruthanne Sasser and Isaac Sasser.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bell Simington and three brothers, Liston, James and Magnus Simington.
