Obituary of Mr. Lawson Lee Frisby

Mr. Lawson Lee Frisby was born to Dan and Daphney Frisby on September 5, 1915 in Gravelridge, Ar. Mr. Frisby was a veteran of WWII. He was a longtime farmer in the regions of Louisiana and Arkansas. He love to hunt and was an avid fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Daphney Frisby; five brothers, James Martin Frisby, Charles Parnell, Howard Parnell, Harry Parnell, and Andrew Parnell; four sisters, Clara Bell Woods, Lillie Bell, Lula Bell and Mary June; his wife, Othel Lee Fitch Frisby; two sons, Walter James Frisby, Donald Lee Frisby; one daughter, Lois Laverne (Nancy) Frisby; one grandson, Raymond Alan Smith; and a daughter-in-law, Sarah Frances Frisby. Mr. Frisby and his wife Othel had fourteen children, he is survived by eleven of his children: Vertia Mae Smith and husband Travis of Many, La, Robert Lee Frisby and wife Myrtle of Many, La, Mary Freeman of Many, La, Linda Robbins of Bonita, LA, Earlene Herring and husband Dale of Jones, La, Gary Frisby and wife Debbie of Bonita, La, Lamar Frisby and wife Sharla of Dermontt, Ar, Linda Dianne Barthol and husband I.V. Barthol, Jr. of Bastrop, La, Shirley West and husband Owens of Jones, La, Delois Pannell and husband Roger of New Albany, Ms, and Sharon Mayo and husband Bobby of Jones, La. Mr. Frisby and his wife Othel had thirty-five grandchildren; sixty-eight great grandchildren; and twenty-one great great grandchildren. Over the course of his life Mr. Frisby made many long-time friends and touched many hearts, he was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services for Mr. Frisby will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. in chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at LaArk Cemetery in Jones, La. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons: Bobby Frisby, Jamie Frisby Kenneth Frisby, Chad Frisby, Charles Kennedy, and Dennis Frisby. Serving as honorary pallbeares will be grandsons: Marty Frisby, Dusty Frisby, Christopher Barthol, Michael Sepulvado, Ricky Jackson, and Chris Rucker.
