Obituary of Edward W. Bounds

Funeral services for Mr. Edward W. Bounds, age 67, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Bounds, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church. Mr. Bounds enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved to spend time with his family and grandbabies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbie W. Bounds. Mr. Bounds is survived by his wife, Sharon Bounds; daughter, Cindy Hairston and husband Lee of Monroe, LA; son, Mike Bounds and wife Suzanne of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Brooke Hairston, Brady Hairston, Matthew Bounds, Christopher Bounds; brother-in-law, Gordan Fowler and wife Carol of Purvis, MS; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Ladner and husband Claude of Hammond, LA, Joyce Rice and husband Rod of Portland, OR, Linda Watts and husband Bobby of Biloxi, MS and numerous cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Hinkston Hudson, Boyce Copeland, Jim Merritt, Wayne Fowler, Markal Fowler, Drew Fowler, Chris McKay and Percy Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are James Sims, Tommy Rogers, and Delbert Wit. Memorial contributions may be made to Bonita Road Baptist Church, 7204 Pine Grove Loop, Bastrop, LA 71220.
