Obituary of Sandra "Sam" Anderson Boone Estep

Funeral services for Sandra "Sam" Anderson Boone Estep, age 54, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Sandra was born in Monroe, LA on December 7, 1955 and passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010. While growing up and living in Bastrop she worked at her parent's restaurants where she was known for making excellent pies and cinnamon rolls. She was currently a resident of Salida, CO, where she had lived for the last 12 years operating her own restaurant. She enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and living amid the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Sandra was loved by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Daniel Boone, and her daughter, Christy Boone Gregory. Sandra is survived by her parents, JC and Mary Anderson of Mer Rouge, LA; brother, Gary Anderson and wife Terri of Bastrop, LA; sister, Cathy Bottrell and husband Larry of Layton, UT; three grandchildren, Tyler Tubbs, Paige Gregory, and Hope Gregory; two aunts, Ruth Halterman and husband Howard, Willie Mae Johnson and husband Louis; nieces, Staci Coleman and husband Scott, Mandi Reynolds and husband Gabe, April Estep; nephew, Aaron Bottrell and wife Amy; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Daniel Boone, Kenny Gandy, and Danny Estep. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Bottrell, Scott Coleman, Michael Dark, David Germany, Tab Musgrove, and Gabe Reynolds.
