Obituary of Doug Norman

Funeral services for Mr. Doug Norman, age 76, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Eros, LA. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Norman, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired U.S. Air Force aircraft mechanic and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Norman; two sons, Randall Norman, Leslie Scott Norman; brother, Carl Norman; and parents, Raymond and Carrie Norman. Mr. Norman is survived by his wife, Bessie Duncan Norman; two sons, Gerald Norman and wife Rosa of Dallas, TX, Randall Keith Norman, Jr. of Sulphur, LA; daughter, Teresa Emmons and husband Johnny of Natchitoches, LA; two step-sons, John Tom Duncan, Sam Duncan, both of Bastrop, LA; sister, Retha Coleman of Swartz, LA; two brothers, Hobert Norman and wife Barbara of West Monroe, LA, Harold Norman and wife Teresea of Bastrop, LA; sister-in-law, Laverne Norman of Houston, TX; and eleven grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Emmons, Charlie Wilson, Ronnie Harper, Morgan Pepper, Damon Carroll, and Marc Barrett.
