Funeral services for Ms. Melba Jean Lee, 51, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2006 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Petrus and Rev. Marion Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Lee, a teacher, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church where she also directed the Children's Bell Choir.
She is survived by her parents, Charles Ray "C. R." and Cammie Lee; two sisters, Linda Lee Bayless and husband Eddie of Bastrop, LA, Tracy Lee Bagby and husband Carlus of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Bobby Lee of Hebert, LA, Chris Lee and wife Judy of DeWitt, AR and her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who were very special to her and she loved them very much.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Regina Carol and her grandparents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Bayless, Spence Lee, Adam Lee, Justin Lee, Denny Daughtry and Eddie Bayless.
Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Cox and Wilton Halterman.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 23, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
