A graveside service for Mr. Michael R. "Mike" Travis, age 64, has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Causey Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Travis, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was a construction superintendent, a mason, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Myra Travis.
Mr. Travis is survived by his wife, Paula Travis of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Karen Diel and husband Scott of Bastrop, LA; step-son, Michael Evans and wife Regina of Cordell, GA; one brother, Steve Travis and wife Rita of Bastrop, LA; Tom Travis and wife Cheryl of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Tatum Diel, Whitney Diel, Emery Diel, Holly Evans, Haley Evans, Harley Evans, Hagen Evans; aunt, Shirley Travis of Crossett, AR; and two nephews, Christopher Travis and Kevin Travis.
