Obituary of Pauline Ethel Whorton Arthur

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Ethel Whorton Arthur, age 90, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Black and Rev. Jimmy Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon till time of service at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Arthur, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Authur is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew D. Arthur, Sr.; two sons, Andrew Dee Arthur, Jr., Charles Arthur; three brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Arthur was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church. She was born in Birmingham, AL on March 8, 1920, she will be greatly missed by all of her family. Mrs. Arthur is survived by one son, Garry Arthur of Bastrop; two daughters-in-law, Connie Arthur of Bastrop, Genia Arthur of Vicksburg, MS; nine grandchildren, Skylar Arthur and wife Dianna of Biloxi, MS, Kristi Arthur of Gulfport, MS, Jennifer Bush of Bastrop, LA, Angel Letterino and husband Greg of Bastrop, LA, Andy Arthur of Vicksburg, MS, Garry Wayne Arthur of Jackson, MS, David Arthur of Vicksburg, MS, Tony Arthur of Bastrop, LA, Jon Arthur of Lafitte, LA; and sixteen great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Skylar Arthur, Andy Arthur, Garry Wayne Arthur, David Arthur, Andrew Arthur, and Stephen Bush.
