Obituary of Roy C. Lowery

Funeral services for Mr. Roy C. Lowery are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at First Apostolic Church with Rev. J.T. Wheat and Rev. Burt Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at First Apostolic Church. Mr. Lowery, age 74 and resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010. He was a retired salesman for Berry Packing Company with 35 years of service. Mr. Lowery was a member of First Apostolic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ward Davis Lowery and Willie Mae Lowery; two sisters, Martha Lowery, Bobbie Jean Lowery; and brother, Floyd D. Lowery. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Lowery; two daughters, Myra Russ of Bastrop, LA, Tina Wheat and husband David of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Joseph Russ, Jr., Nicky Russ, Ryan Wheat, Matthew Wheat; and two great grandchildren, Grant Russ and Parker Elizabeth Russ. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Russ, Jr., Nicky Russ, Ryan Wheat, Matt Wheat, Bill Tharpe, and David Layton. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Outlaw, Carl Casico, Sonny Jones, T.W. Rhodes, Ray Waller, and Sameual Perralta.
