Obituary of Donald D. "Buddy" Tyson

View Video Tribute Funeral services for Donald D. "Buddy" Tyson, age 74, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday December 5, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Brent officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Tyson passed away Sunday December 3, 2006 at his residence. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and a resident of Bastrop. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Ellen Tyson; brothers, J.C. Tyson, C.T. Tyson, Robert Tyson, B.E. McIntyre, Calvin McIntyre, Ralph McIntyre; sister, Ethel Tyson Green. He is survived by his wife, Joy Grice Tyson; children, Raymond Lee Smith & wife Kim of Houston, TX, Terry Michael Tyson of Houston, TX, Eric Heath Tyson of Bastrop, Jenny D. Tyson of Bastrop; brother, Hursel Tyson of Oak Grove; sisters, Cleo Tyson Jasper of Houston, TX, Bernice McIntyre of Bastrop; eight grandchildren, Landen Eubanks, Caleb Ryan Tanksley, Chason Carroll, Caden Tyson, James Leon Smith, Bradley Susa, Ray Smith, Jr., Cassidy Dawn Smith; and three great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Moore, Shane Thompson, Rodney Barton, Kris McKoin, Jim Tyson, and Bruce Hickman.
