A memorial service with Military Honors for Mr. Dalton Hughbons Tate, age 66, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010, at Houston Memorial Cemetery with the family returning to Mary Daniels home.
Mr. Tate, a resident of West Monroe and a mechanic, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Tate is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Tate and Carrie Lavon Tate; and a sister, Orlena Tatum. Mr. Tate was in United States Marine Corps where he served his country honorably in Vietnam.
Mr. Tate is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Tate; four daughters, Joanna Christine Marks of Houston, TX, Angela Sue Anwar of CO, Tamara Marie Morris of Livingston, TX, Joni Leann Brown of West Monroe, LA; four sons, Jimmy Michael Tate and wife Hedi of UT, Dalton Ray Tate of Splendora, TX, Charles Leon Tate of Splendora, TX, Charles Jason Brown of Denton, TX; four sisters, Mary Daniels of Humble, TX, Carolyn Tatum of Waller, TX, Elaine Burns of Port Boliver, TX, Judy Nelson of TX; two brothers, Jerry Tate of Houston, TX, Jack Tate of Donie, TX; twenty-one grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
