Obituary of James Tyson (Ty) Windsor

Services for James Tyson Windsor, 42, of St. Rose, La. will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, La. with Revs. Claud Hughes and Donnie Wilkerson officiating. Interment will be at the Church of the Redeemer Cemetery in Oak Ridge under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Ty was born July 3, 1964 in Monroe, La. and died December 9, 2006 in St. Rose, La. Ty was a 1982 graduate of Riverfield Academy. He served in the United States Navy and was employed by the U.S. Marine Corp. at the New Orleans base as a computer consultant. He was a member of St. Rose Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Windsor and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Tyson, Ty is survived by his wife, Christina Murphy Windsor and sons, Zachary and Jake of St. Rose; his father, John Rolfe Windsor and wife Mary Allen of Oak Ridge; mother, Gilda Tyson Massingill of Baton Rouge; brothers, John Windsor and wife Piper of Cordova, TN and Jeff Windsor and wife Christina of Dripping Springs, TX; sister, Kayla Massingill; nephews, Jay, Josh, and Henry Windsor; mother in-law and husband, Susan and Jim Moore of St. Rose, father in-law, Allan Murphy of St. Rose and brother in-law Jacob Murphy of Covington. Ty is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Jim Moore, Allan Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Zachary Murphy, David Tyson and Gil White. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop.
