Graveside funeral services for Ruth Laing, age 87, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2007 at Stevenson Cemetery with Rev. Billy Stewart & Donna Faulkenberry officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday December 31, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laing, a homemaker, passed away Saturday December 30, 2006 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. She was an active member of the Vaughn Church of God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Laing; three brothers, Barney Rogers, Bill Rogers, Clayton Rogers; sister, Mildred Laing; and son-in-law, Allen Riles.
She is survived by her daughter, Hazel Riles of Bastrop; grandsons, Ross Riles & wife Donya of Bastrop, Brad Riles & wife Jennifer of Lafayette; great granddaughter, Amy Riles of Bella Vista, AR; sisters, Edna Farrar, Marie Cooley, Ruby Linzay; brother, Alfred Rogers.
