Obituary of Elton Hale

Funeral services for Mr. Elton Hale, 75, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday January 9, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Jimmie Herring and Scott Petrus officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery. Mr. Hale, a member of Riverside Baptist Church and member of the Sterlington Masonic Lodge, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Dahlia Heard Hale; daughter, Penny Hickingbottom and her husband Ron of North Carolina; sons, Terry Hale and his wife Debbie of Bastrop, LA, Randy Hale and his wife Mechelle of Sterlington, LA; stepson, Tommy Ramshur and his wife Sherry of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Maxine Case of Bastrop, LA, Judy Thompson of Bastrop, LA; Ettawane Lee of Iowa, Deborah Fuller of Epps, LA; brothers, Kenneth Hale of Bastrop, LA, Max Hale of Bastrop, LA, Lavelle Hale of MO, Felton Hale, of Pheonix, AZ,Tommy Hale of Epps, LA; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and special friend, Cheryl Huff. Mr. Hale is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Fronie Hale; son, Gary Hale; grandson, Barrett Hale; three brothers, Ronald Hale, Thomas H. Hale and Arnold Hale. Pallbearers will be Mike Stephens, Ben Huff, Shane Hale, Kevin Ropp, Rodney Stephens, Wes Knight and Jason Hale. Visitation will be Monday January 8, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Multiple Schlorosis Society.
