Funeral services for Jerry Michael "Mike" Havens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday January 12, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Jimmy Piercy officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Goldens.
Mike, age 52, passed away Tuesday January 9, 2007 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a resident of Bastrop. Mike was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Vietnam Veterans Association.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Mae Havens; brother, Guy Randall Havens; and niece, Jessica Marie Havens.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gayle Havens; father, Jerry H. Havens; two sons, Joshua M. Havens and Nick Jefferson; two daughters, Sonya Jean Blackwell and Althea "Sissy" Bates; sister, Belinda Brewer; nieces & nephews, Brandon Wayne Havens, Iris Brianna Brewer, Autumn Marie Brewer, Nicole Faith Brewer, Justin Randall Havens, Chad Brandon Havens, Lauren Havens; mother-in-law, Marie Sebren; special friends, Charles Cherry, Quinton Jackson, April Rookard, Wolf & Gail Clary, Oz & Jana; and many, many other loved ones.
