Funeral services for Mr. James H. Hightower, age 83, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fowler officiating.Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery.
Mr. Hightower, a retired carpenter and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at Oak Woods Nursing Home.
He is survived by two sisters: Marie Crain of Bastrop, Rozel Arant of Bastrop; three brothers: Bert Hightower of Bastrop, Travis D. Hightower of Bastrop, Thomas A. Hightower of Rison, AR; two nephews and four nieces.
Mr. Hightower is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pearlie Hightower.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2007, from 1 p.m. until service time at Golden Funeral Home.
