Obituary of Lucy Ellen Bolding Bennett

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Lucy Ellen Bolding Bennett, 83, of Bastrop, Louisiana are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. J.E. Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born in Bolding, Arkansas and was a homemaker and member of the First Assembly of God Church. She passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. Mrs. Bennett is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lowery and her husband Bruce of Bastrop, Theresa Barthol and her husband Billy of Jones; three sons, James Bennett and his wife Gloria of Bastrop, Don Bennett of Bastrop, Michael Bennett and his wife Cindy of Bastrop; two sisters, Dorothy Manley and her husband J.I. of Bastrop, Ernestine Vestal and her husband Powell of Vidalia, LA; sixteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, L.M. Bennett; parents, James A. and Dora Bolding; brothers, Milton Bolding, Marvin Bolding; sisters, Francis Haymon and Pauline Edwards. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bolding and Marvin Bolding. Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morehouse Parish Humane Society.
