Obituary of Jimmie Richard

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Richard, age 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday February 3, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Goldens. Mr. Richard, a resident of Sterlington, passed away Tuesday January 30, 2007, at his residence. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and an U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Delora Richard; brothers, Leroy Richard, Thomas Richard, Eugene Richard; and sister, Ruby Knight. He is survived by his wife, Thelma M. Richard; step-sons, Melvin Guice, Dickie Guice, Gary Guice; sister, Helen Haynes; brother, Sidney Richard; step-grandchildren, Gary Guice, Jr., Charles Guice, Amy Guice, Melissa Guice, Allicia Guice, and Maranda Seemon. Mr. Richard's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
