Funeral services for Mrs. Oma Irene Madison, 87, of Bastrop are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Goodwill Church of God with Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery.
Mrs. Madison, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care.
She is survived by two daughters, Jimmie Tatum and husband Ben of Flatonia, TX, Ina Blackwell and husband Willard of Canyon Lake, TX; three sons, Allen Madison and wife Aurea of Canyon Lake, TX, George Madison and wife Valerie of Monroe, James Madison and wife Janice of Monroe; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Byram Lee Madison; son, Gary Madison; sister, Annie Green; four brothers, Travis Green, Bliss Green, Stewart Green and John William Green.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 2, 2007 from 6-9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
