Mrs. Bessie Garrett, age 80 and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Garrett worked as a nurse earlier in her life.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Patton of Washington, DC, Joseph Randall of Collinston, LA; one daughter; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
