Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Orr Ferguson, 89, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Love officiating, assisted by Rev. Mark Benge. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ferguson, a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Bastrop, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Sarabeth F. Atkins and husband Byron of Monroe, LA, Marion Yarbrough and husband Paul of Houston, TX; son, James Robert "Jim" Ferguson and wife Annelle of Clinton, TN; sister, Nancy Orr LeTard of Westlake, LA; four grandchildren, Robert Allen Ferguson and wife Terry of Portland, OR, John David Ferguson, Kristen F. Beckler and husband Ryan of Pacifica, CA, Douglas L. Yarbrough of Houston, TX and one great granddaughter, Stephanie M. Beckler.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester T. Ferguson; parents, M.V. and Virginia Orr; sister, Elizabeth O. Tarver, brothers, George N. Orr, Sr. and James M. Orr, Sr.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Ferguson, John Ferguson, Douglas Yarbrough, Byron Atkins, Paul Yarbrough and Nelson Orr.
The family gratefully acknowledges the many kindnesses and friendship toward their mother by Penny Sims.
