Obituary of Hazel McKissack

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel McKissack, 90, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L.H. McCollough and Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mrs. McKissack, a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007 at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport. She is survived by her son, Wesley D. McKissack and wife Maureen of Shreveport, LA; four grandchildren, Joy Dowden and husband Chris of Natchitoches, LA, Jennifer Bartels and husband Glen of Hammond, LA, Jack Adams and wife Kathryn of Shreveport, LA, Hall Adams and wife Misty of Natchitoches, LA; four great grandchildren, Victoria and Georgia Dowden, Butch and Drake Allen Bartels and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. McKissack is preceded in death by her husband William Ruel McKissack. Serving as pallbearers are: Jack Adams, Paul Adams, Chris Dowden, Glen Bartels, William Files and Raymond Rhodes. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
