Funeral services for Mr. Barnie Phillips, 78, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Oser officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips, a retired employee of the Morehouse Parish Police Jury and member of Bastrop Church of Christ, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at St. Francis North Hospital.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammie Phillips of Bastrop, LA; two sons, Glen Phillips and wife Shasidee of Bastrop, LA, Ken Phillips and wife Faye of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Faye Phillips of Garland City, AR, Martha Mae Teaters of LA; three grandchildren, Taylor, Fred and Andrew Phillips and three great grandchildren, Garrett, Austin and Mallory Phillips.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Wyatt Phillips and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
