Obituary of Dorothy Wynne Buffington

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Wynne Buffington, 77, of Oak Grove, LA are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the First Church of God in Oak Grove, LA with Rev. Paul Ninemire officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Buffington, a homemaker and member of First Church of God, Oak Grove, LA, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at West Carroll Memorial Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Grover Buffington of Oak Grove, LA; daughters, Gloria Jane Buffington Bonner and husband Larry of Oak Grove, LA, Meredith Ann Sanders and husband Dennis of Homer, LA; sons, Grover Lanet Buffington and wife Kathleen of Chopin, LA, Gary V. Buffington and wife Mary of Buna, TX; sisters, Melba Victory of Homer, LA, Thelma Buffington of Mer Rouge, LA; brothers, Jack Wynn of Hosston, LA, Billy Wynn of Keithville, LA; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren and three step great grandsons. Mrs. Buffington is preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Jewel Wynn. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, March 16, 2007 at the church.
