Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Emanuel Whitten, 62, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Hawthorne officiating.
Mr. Whitten, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, passed away Monday, May 1, 2007 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Mary Whitten; brother, Jimi Whitten and wife Jo Ann of Bastrop, LA and a grandson, Alexander Emanuel Whitten of Bastrop, LA.
Mr. Whitten is preceded in death by his son, Todd Emanuel Whitten; mother, Dovie Carter; brother, Gary Whitten and a sister, Ann Bonnette.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Larry Standridge, Larry Johnson, Jimmy Bonnett, Jason Bonnette, Joseph Blythe, Aaron Russell and Larry Lancaster.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
