Obituary of Ernest Lee "Bo" Farrar

Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Lee "Bo" Farrar, age 83, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. James Moffett and Rev. Lynn Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Farrar, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company. Mr. Farrar was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Military Policeman for eight years. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Elaine Farrar; daughter, Connie Elaine Farrar; parents, Charlie and Elsie Farrar; sister, Clara Bell Kinney; and brother, Dale Farrar. Mr. Farrar is survived by his wife, Maxine Farrar of Bastrop, LA; two sons, James Ernest Farrar and wife Brenda of Bastrop, LA, Emory Edward Farrar and wife Debra of Bastrop, LA; three step-children, Steve Hunter and wife Elaine of Gilbert, LA, Pam Aulds and husband Wesley of Bastrop, LA, Karen Dew of Capon Bridge, WV; brother, Charles Farrar, Jr. and wife Edna of Bastrop, LA; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Perrault, Tommy Braswell, Matthew Farrar, Joe Kinney, Steven Farrar, and Danny McGrew.
