Obituary of James Otis Neal

A memorial service for James Otis Neal, age 67, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Moffett officiating. Mr. Neal, a resident of Bastrop, LA passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe, LA. Mr. Neal was a retired Southern Natural Gas supervisor. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and also served in the National Guard for six years. Mr. Neal is preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Audrey Neal. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Neal; two daughters, Cathy Jones and husband Qasoran of Victorville, CA, Lindsay Gregory and husband Brent of Bastrop, LA; brother, Albert Neal and wife Ruby of Bastrop, LA; grandson, Bobby Gregory of El Paso, TX and a niece, Angelia Lowery and husband Roger of Bastrop, LA. Mr. Neal a God-loving and devoted family man, was always willing to help anyone in need. A jack of all trades, he had no problem mentoring those he knew and his impact on them will live on after him. Honorary pallbearers will be William Scarborough, Paul Scarborough, Jason Scarborough, Sean Scarborough, and Roger Lowery.
