Services for Zuma V. Kilpatrick, 86, a long time resident of Bastrop will be Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Dupree and Rev. Harry Lilly officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetary under the direction of Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop. Mr. Kilpatrick died Monday, March 22, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital. Mr. Kilpatrick retired after 46 1/2 years with International Paper Co. He was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and a member of Mt. Gerzim Masonic Lodge. Mr. Kilpatrick was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Carl Kilpatrick and Emma Pearl Watley Kilpatrick; brother, William Huey Kilpatrick; sister, Birdie Moore. Survivors include: wife, Carol Vallery Kilpatrick; daughter, Jean Kilpatrick, Duluth, GA; son, Carl Kilpatrick and wife Valerie, Edgewood, WA; two sisters, Coty Davidson and husband Clay, West Monroe, LA, Lois Powell, Little Rock, AR; three grandchildren, Coty Kilpatrick, Callie Kilpatrick, and Austin Kilpatrick. Pallbears will be: Jim Wilson, Eddie Hall, J. H. Lockwood, Mike Moore, Gerald Kilpatrick, Richard Moore, and Bruce Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Robert Lyons, Coach Benny Hollis, members of Mount Gerzim Masonic Lodge, and the men at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA.
