Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Dell Sykes, 87, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Victory Tabernacle with Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sykes, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a resident of Bastrop. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis Sykes; two sisters, two brothers, and two grandsons.
Mrs. Sykes is survived by her daughter, Audrey Tubbs; two sons, John Miller and Buddy Miller; and seven grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Matt Miller, Mark Miller, Johnny Miller, Brandon McCowin, Jesse Tubbs, and Michael Tubbs.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
