Obituary of Dorothy Virginia Cox

Graveside services for Dorothy Virginia Cox, age 83, of Bastrop, LA will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Benge officiating. Mrs. Cox, a member of First United Methodist Church, was born August 31, 1923 and passed away May 14, 2007 at Hickory Manor Nursing Home. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. "Sam" Cox and son, Don Edward Cox. Survivors include her son: Gary C. Cox; nephew: Harold Campbell; four grandchildren: Ann Jane Campbell Cox, Gary Maxwell Cox, Kimberly Anne Cox and Don Edward Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Moore, Robert D. Coston, Gary M. Cox, Larry Rogers, Don Shlosman, David Talley, Phil Carpenter and H.B. Barnette, Jr. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
