Obituary of Nelwyn Elkins

Funeral service for Nelwyn Brodnax Elkins, age 74, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 10, 2004 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Juliet Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mrs. Elkins ,a retired Executive Secretary at International Paper Co. for 30 years , member of Christ Episcopal Church, and a member of the Quarter Century Club of International Paper Co., died November 7, 2004 at Cornerstone Hospital . She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ward of Beaverton, OR; son, John Terrell Brodnax and wife Wanda of Monroe, LA ; brother, Walter Jacob, Jr. and wife Bobbie June of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren, John Terrell Brodnax, Jr., Carrie Gulio, and Jake Ward; three great grandchildren and long time companion Vernon Stevenson of Monroe, LA. Mrs. Elkins is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Louis Brodnax and Robert Elkins; three sisters, Margaret Myers, Irma Pullin, Alma Dollar and grandson Bo Fisher. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2004 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Walker Glenn III, John Watts, Carlo Sciara, Keith Dollar, Terry Gannaway and John Terrell Brodnax, Jr.
