Funeral services for Mary Edith Caldwell Boykin, 84, of Bastrop have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Moffett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Boykin, a homemaker and charter member of Bonita Road Baptist Church passed away November 11, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital. Mrs. Boykin was born July 7,1920 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and moved to the Arkansas Baptist Childrens Home in Monticello, Arkansas when she was 2 years old. When she turned 18, she moved to Bradley County where she met and married Wesley J. Boykin. In 1948 they moved to Bastrop, Louisiana where they resided until death. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Moore of Bastrop, LA ; two sons, Doyle Boykin of Bastrop, LA , Douglas Boykin and wife Patsy of Bastrop, LA; special granddaughter, Katy Moore of Bastrop LA; grandchildren, Mary F. Boykin of Bastrop, LA, Morgan A. Boykin of Bastrop, LA, Dean Boykin of Trophy Club, TX, D'Ann Tidwell of Lake In The Hills, IL, David Boykin of Charlotte, NC, Carissa Cerda of Spring, TX; great grandchildren, Ryan, Bob, Morgan, Meredith, Chad, Nicholas, Noah, Cabrian, Tyler, Austin and great great grandson, Ethan. Mrs. Boykin is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley J. Boykin; granddaughter, Tina and great granddaughter, Michelle. Serving as pallbearers will be: Lamoyn Boykin, Rodney Boykin, Tim Boykin, Bobby Boykin, Ronnie Dykes and Ryan Chesney. Visitation is planned for 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
