Obituary of Robert B. Craig

Funeral services for Mr. Robert B. Craig, age 85, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home and Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Mr. Craig, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011. He was retired from International Paper Company with 40 years of service. He was a faithful member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and music director for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Craig, and a brother, Aubrey Craig. Mr. Craig is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary E. Craig; daughter, Susan Sanders and husband Mike of Monroe, LA; son, Mitch Craig and wife Helen of Memphis, TN; brother, William Tom Craig and wife June of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie, Chris, Jim, Rachel, Joanna, Will; and great granddaughter, Addison. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Craig, Jim Sanders, and Will Sanders. Also serving as pallbearers are Mike Sanders, Bruce Craig, and Rev. Tony Smith. Honorary pallbearers are members of Mr. Craig's Sunday School class. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Memorials may be made to Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
