Obituary of Gary Lee Stout

Funeral services for Mr. Gary Lee Stout are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church, Swartz, LA, with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Gary, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. He was employed for 45 years as an automotive body repairman at Charles Wright's Body Shop. He was a member of Loch Arbor Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Velma Stout. Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susie Pullen Stout; two sons, Steven Christopher Stout and wife Nicole of Jacksonville, AL, John William Stout of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Amber Stout, Coby Laing, Blake Stout, Shelby Stout; four sisters, Jeannie McDonald of Bastrop, LA, Gloria Faye Nall of Bastrop, LA, Mary Ann Barnett of Bastrop, LA, Bobette Stout of Nashville, TN; brother, Bill Stout of Boston, MA; aunt, Lela Fuik of Huntingdon, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary enjoyed riding his motorcycle for charity events with his friends and taking trips on the bike with his wife. He built his family's home with his own hands, something he was always proud of. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing trips to Lake Providence. He was also an enthusiastic NASCAR fan. Gary will be remembered as being a good family-oriented man and always talking about his children and grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Adair, Bo Pepper, Charles Wright, Clifton Bryant, Don Johnson, Willie Crow, Chris Golden, and Claude Stokes. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Dollar, Max Dollar, Jr., James Manning, and Robert Jackson.
