Obituary of Ollie Marzelle McIntyre Fife

Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Marzelle McIntyre Fife, age 85, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Fife, a retired legal secretary and member of Bonita Road Assembly of God passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Oakwoods Home in Mer Rouge. She was born in Baskin, LA and was a resident of Bastrop for 75 years. Marzelle was a beautiful woman with a zest for life and will always be remembered for having a quick sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She always put others before herself. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Fife Davis of Bastrop, LA; son, Mike Fife and wife Kathy of Bastrop, LA; brother, Melvin McIntyre of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren, Wayne Hamilton, Iann Robinson, John Green, Josh Fife, Katie Fife, Gracie Fife; two great grandchildren, Kevin and Cody Hamilton and special nephews, Larry Massingill and Tommy Robinson who she loved like sons. Mrs. Fife is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hartie Fife; son, Ronn Robinson; stepson, Dewey L. Fletcher; stepgrandson, Lee Fletcher; six brothers and two sisters. A special thanks to Dr. Allen Spires, Susan Musgrove, the staff at Oak Woods , Mary Doles and the staff at Premier Hospice for their professionalism and kindness that will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
