Obituary of Shirley Sue Fancher

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Sue Fancher, age 71, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday May 27, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from noon until service time at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Fancher, a homemaker, passed away Thursday May 24, 2007 at Willis Knighten Medical Center in Bossier City. She was a resident of Bossier City, formerly of Bastrop, and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a former piano teacher, enjoyed playing music in church, and was a member of a gospel music band. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maude Arant; sister, Helen Deville; and husband, James Monroe Fancher. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Tubbs & husband Billy of Bossier City; son, James Douglas Fancher of West Monroe; five grandchildren, Robin Woodson, Crystal Tubbs, Reagan Fancher, Lincoln Fancher, Laura Fancher; brother, Donald Chancellor & wife Ruby Nell of West Monroe; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Fancher of West Monroe. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
