Obituary of Audrey P. "Liza" Cathey Fife

Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey P. "Liza" Cathey Fife, age 89, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Revs. Marty Black and Jimmy Herring officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Bonita Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Fife, a homemaker and member of Bonita Road Baptist Church passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Lagniappe Health Care. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Benson and husband Buford of Bastrop, LA; son Shelby Fife and wife Pam of Spokane, WA; four grandchildren, Leah Whorton of Tyler, TX, Cassandra Anderson, Audrey Brooke Fife, and Benjamin Fife all of Washington; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend and sister-in-law, Julia P. Cathey of Baskin, LA. Mrs. Fife is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur E. Cathey and Daisey Cathey; sister, Thelma "Penny" Remore; two brothers, V. Edward "Tom" Cathey, Lavon D. "Fuzz" Cathey; husband G. Marvin Fife and a son, George Kenneth Fife. The family would like to thank Dr. Carter Cox, Deborah Grisby and Linda Powell for the special care given to Mrs. Fife. Serving as pallbearers are: John Stringer, Bruce Kinnaird, James Kinnaird, Donnie Kinnaird, Roy Burns and Jim Ogden. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Bonita Road Baptist Church.
